Jonathan Greeson Financial Planning
Jonathan Greeson Financial Planning was founded by Jonathan Greeson. He was born in 1982 in a small town in eastern North Carolina called Pikeville, where he has lived his entire life with the exception of the 4 years he lived in Raleigh while attending North Carolina State University. He majored in Business Management with a Finance Concentration.
His career goal was to be a Financial Adviser. Jonathan has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, a love for the markets, and a belief that everyone can become wealthy. Unfortunately, the firms he interviewed with did not always agree with his philosophy.
Disappointed, Jonathan put his dream on hold to pursue others. He gained experience working as a Budget Analyst for Wayne County 4-H, wrote a book, and founded the NC Electric Wheelchair Hockey Association (NCEWHA).
The desire to chase his dream returned, so he signed up for the Certified Financial Planner™ Education Program. He completed the course in 2014 and passed the CFP® Exam. Unfortunately, he has to get 3 years working experience before he can be called a CFP® Professional. However, he is a Series 65 Licensed Adviser, so he can offer Investment Advisory Services with a fiduciary responsibility to the client.
Jonathan was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a type of Muscular Dystrophy. He has always used an electric wheelchair and needs assistance with daily living tasks. Luckily, he was born into a great family who has always helped him pursue his dreams. Jonathan has 2 older sisters and he resides with his parents in Pikeville, NC. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys reading comic books, watching movies, writing, drawing, sports, and playing hockey.

WealthGuard™ is a complete portfolio monitoring system. Designed by determining the amount of downside risk a client is willing to tolerate, WealthGuard™ is added to client accounts to help protect from downside risk. WealthGuard™ is not a stop loss strategy. When the account value in the portfolio hits the targeted downside value, an alert is sent to the client, advisor, and money manager. The money manager trades the account as indicated on the WealthGuard™ agreement.
