Jonathan's first book, published in December 2010, will always hold a special place in his heart. Not just because it is the first book he ever had published, but the story was a life-changing event for him.
The story is about a personal relationship he had with a girl who, unfortunately, is no longer with us. Jonathan doesn't usually talk about his personal life as far as relationships, but she was such a good person, it would be unfair for the world not to know she existed.
Dating is one of the hardest things a person with a disability has to deal with. Yes, it sounds crazy with all the adversity they face, but no amount of medical equipment or adaptation can make someone fall in love with you.
Jonathan tries to ease the situation by trying to answer all the questions people have, but are afraid to ask, when dating someone with a disability. Therefore, some parts of the book deserve a PG-13 rating and it's not recommended for children. However, it is recommended for teenagers because Jonathan believes it can help with their self-esteem as they face all the peer pressure that comes with being a teenager.
My Online Angel was published by Milverstead Publishing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is available in paperback on Amazon.com and in e-book formats.
What People are Saying about My Online Angel:
"My Online Angel is a truly inspiring and at times gut wrenching love story.......I found it to be a breath of fresh air! There were times that I laughed and times that I cried while reading this book - it definitely opened my heart to what true unconditional love looks like - thank you Jonathan for that reminder - may we all strive to achieve this type of love and NEVER settle for less!
- Crystal Smith
"My Online Angel is an excellent opportunity to get into the mind of Jonathan Greeson who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy at a very early age. Having been wheelchair bound since the diagnosis, Johnathan has sought to live life with the same dreams and aspirations as any young man in his twenties, including finding that one perfect girl. My Online Angel is his account of the relationship and romance he finds with Molly, a girl he meets through an online social networking site. Throughout the online relationship, Jonathan and Molly plan many times to meet but there is always something that prevents that from actually happening. They are able, however, to develop a trusting honest relationship that takes Jonathan through several hospital stays and Molly through various issues with a former boyfriend who is back in her life. Without disclosing what happens to end the relationship between Jonathan and Molly, it is remarkable to see Jonathan's maturity and wisdom in dealing with a relationship and loss he never thought he would have. What Jonathan comes to realize is that despite his disability, he can find love and happiness just like anyone else. He also realizes that the old adage, "it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" is true. My Online Angel is a well written memoir that I would encourage anyone to read."

"My Online Angel is a true story of a couple that started a genuine friendship and, through daily dilemmas and personal challenges, were able to support each other and find that profound love we all seek. In the midst of any crisis they were able to be honest with each other and see past each others' faults to recognize what they had really found. True love is hard to find and even more impossible to believe in with the hard and bitter reality of today's world. These two gentle souls found just that, falling in love after a brief encounter. It made me laugh and cry. It also gave me faith that true love is out there for all of us, no matter what our "handicap." It doesnt have to be a physical one, it can be mental or emotional, but, in the end we are all searching for that one true love and we all deserve to find it. I'm truly glad that my best friend got to experience it. It was a great read and really moved me with all the memories that were resurrected! Thank you Jonathan for all you did for her and for writing this book in her memory!"

"I read the whole thing in 2 evenings as I could not put it down. I really liked the parts where you talked about what you learned about dating and about yourself - you answered many questions that I think people are afraid to ask. Everything was so genuine, honest, and to the point. It was really cool how the dating story was interwoven with the insight you learned about yourself. Congratulations on a great book!"
- Jennifer Morgan
"My Online Angel is a truly wonderful book to read. This book is a great testimony of what true beauty should really be about when you meet someone. A great book is feeling like you are part of the story. I felt like I was slipping into the author's shoes and could almost feel all his emotion - love, happiness, fear, disappointment, anger. You will not be able to put this book aside without knowing what will happen. Jonathan Greeson never ceases to amaze me because he puts 100% behind whatever he does. I will definitely look forward to reading what he brings to the table next."
